Pacemaker for Wallace: Veteran CBS newsman Mike Wallace, 72, is due back in his office today after receiving a pacemaker on Saturday. Wallace fainted a week ago in Los Angeles where he had attended the “People’s Choice Awards” and was hospitalized overnight for observation. He resumed work the next day in New York, then entered a hospital for tests and it was determined his fainting spell was due to a drop in his pulse rate and he should have a pacemaker. Wallace is scheduled to be on “60 Minutes” Sunday.
