Bush to Undergo Annual Checkup

WASHINGTON — President Bush will undergo his annual physical examination this morning at Bethesda Naval Medical Center in Maryland, a White House spokesman announced Tuesday.
Bush planned to return to the White House after the comprehensive four-hour checkup. He will be accompanied by his personal physician, Dr. Burton Lee, who will be supported by a team of Navy doctors and civilian specialists.
Barbara Bush underwent an exam Tuesday, but it was not announced in advance and her aides had no report on the results, asserting that it was a private matter.
