COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Ninth-Inning Run Gives Cypress Win

Nikkanni Andrews singled home Stefanie Hill with two outs in the bottom of the ninth to give Cypress a 4-3 victory over Golden West in an Orange Empire Conference softball game Monday at Cypress.
Hill had reached on a two-base error with two outs. Laura Corson (18-7) pitched a six-hitter, striking out six, for Cypress (30-10, 10-2 in conference).
In other Orange Empire Conference softball:
Rancho Santiago 2, Riverside 1--Latayna Trotter drove in a run with a triple in the first inning and Renee Hernandez drove in another in the third for host Rancho Santiago (8-16, 2-9). Celeste Gordon (8-14) pitched a two-hitter for the Dons.
Orange Coast 8, Saddleback 3--Becky Toler had two runs batted in to lead OCC (27-12, 9-3) at Saddleback. Tine Fuata had two hits, including an RBI triple, and scored two runs for the Pirates.
