Suspect in Wife’s Slaying Dies of Wounds

An El Cajon man who allegedly shot and killed his estranged wife Tuesday and then turned the gun on himself with their five children nearby died Wednesday, authorities said.
Henry Henvekan Adams died at 12:29 p.m. at Sharp Memorial Hospital, the coroner’s office said. Adams, 35, had been in critical condition on a life-support system since he shot himself in the head Tuesday evening.
Theresa Esther Adams, 34, of the 1500 block of Delight Street in El Cajon, died Tuesday in her living room at about 4 p.m. when her husband allegedly shot her twice in the head with a .38-caliber handgun, El Cajon police said.
