One man was killed and another was in custody after the two shot at each other in a Pacoima house Wednesday, Los Angeles police said.
Jose Oscar Lopez, 38, of Sylmar, died of multiple gunshot wounds in the house in the 9200 block of Sutter Avenue, Detective Woodrow Parks said.
Lopez had gone to the house of Daniel Venegas, 22, about 8:20 a.m. and fired a pistol at Venegas during an argument, Parks said. Venegas, also armed with a pistol, shot and killed Lopez, Parks said.
The motive for the fight was unknown, Parks said. Venegas was arrested on suspicion of murder.
