Four High School Seniors Win Company Scholarships

Four San Gabriel Valley high school seniors were selected as recipients of $1,500 scholarships in an essay contest by Browning-Ferris Industries’ Azusa Land Reclamation Co.
The students wrote about how to balance the needs of people with the need to preserve the environment.
The winners are Christine Kennedy of Sierra Vista High School in Baldwin Park, Emy Chen of Rowland High School in Rowland Heights, and Bill Rice and Scott Booth, both of Arcadia High School.
