A lawsuit filed by 21 victims of a 1988 powerboat accident that killed a 7-year-old boy on the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh has been settled out of court for $3 million. The half-ton, 16-foot boat, moving about 120 m.p.h., crashed on the seventh lap of the 50-lap Champion Spark Plug Grand Prix and went into a crowd of spectators near Three Rivers Stadium.
