Whittier Christian, Calvary Chapel Gain 2-A Volleyball Title Game

Aaron Sohegian had 14 kills, five blocks and six digs as Whittier Christian defeated Bosco Tech in three games in a Southern Section Division 2-A volleyball semifinal at La Serna High School Wednesday.
Whittier Christian won, 15-12, 15-13, 15-12, and will play Calvary Chapel in the final Saturday.
Brandon Blevins had 10 kills and seven solo blocks, and Adam Keife had 11 kills, six blocks and 12 digs for Whittier Christian.
Troy Biehl had 27 assists, five digs and seven service points in the third game to help Whittier Christian (17-2) come back from a 5-11 deficit.
Bosco Tech ends the season 11-6.
In the other 2-A semifinal:
Calvary Chapel 3, Miraleste 0--Danny Neumann had 13 kills for Calvary Chapel, which won, 15-8, 15-12, 15-5, at Estancia High School. Christian Kingery had 10 kills and Mike Hernandez had 36 assists for Calvary Chapel (17-2).
