NO HARD FEELINGS: Aaron Boone, a star Villa Park High shortstop, has been drafted by the Angels (C14), an interesting move, given his family’s history with the ballclub. Aaron’s dad, retired catcher Bob Boone, was a longtime Angel before a 1988 contract feud led him to sign as a free agent with the Kansas City Royals. Boone’s contract with the Royals was for $1 more than the Angels had offered him. Bob Boone says now: “They picked him real late, so they’ll probably make him a nominal offer.”
