A robber who was apparently unarmed held up an Escondido bank Thursday afternoon, Escondido police said.
A man approached a teller at the Security Pacific Bank in the 1300 block of East Valley Parkway with his hand inside an unzipped bank money pouch at 1:15 p.m. He demanded money and the teller complied, stuffing an undetermined amount of cash into the pouch, police said. No weapon was seen, police said.
The suspect is described as a heavyset, 5-foot-3, bearded white man in his 30s or 40s with short brown hair, thinning at the top. He was wearing a light blue polo shirt and dark pants. The incident is under investigation, police said.
