2 at Japanese University Fired in Exam Scandal

TOKYO — Two employees at one of Japan’s most prestigious private universities were fired Monday for their alleged roles in a growing scandal over cheating on entrance examinations.
Meiji University said the pair helped stand-ins pass examinations for more than 10 applicants. The employees were arrested and indicted last week on charges of forging school documents.
