SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Principal to Fill in as District Official

The principal of Truman Benedict Elementary School has been appointed to a temporary position in the Capistrano Unified School District administration.
John Hopkins became interim director of employee relations last week, replacing Linda Kroner, who resigned to take a position with the Saddleback Community College District.
Hopkins has been principal at Benedict for four years and an employee of the district for 31 years. District officials said they will name an interim principal for Benedict next month.
The district will begin interviewing candidates to replace Kroner next month and could name a replacement in September.
