Nordstrom Drops Talks at Tacoma: Less than a week after winning a landslide victory in its bid to oust labor representation, Nordstrom Inc. of Seattle has suspended negotiations on a contract for its last union-represented retail outlet in nearby Tacoma. Nordstrom spokesman Tim Doak said a lawyer representing the employees told the company that its Tacoma workers had collected 182 signatures from staff seeking to leave the union. Doak said Nordstrom was withdrawing its latest contract offer until the National Labor Relations Board makes a finding on the petition.
