Mad Milton Lowers Own Record

Three-year-old trotter Mad Milton defeated track record-holder Magic Moose in Wednesday night’s $8,200 Invitational Trot at Los Alamitos and lowered his own age-group record in the process.

He accomplished his 3 1/2-length victory in 1:57 4/5, knocking two-fifths off his national best in 1991 by a 3-year-old trotter on a five-eighth-mile track. Magic Moose finished second and Piece Derisistance, who upset both of them last week, was third.
