La Verne : Campus Parking Enforced
The City Council on Monday authorized the city police to issue parking tickets on the private streets owned by the University of La Verne.
The university requested city help because it is unable to enforce its own parking regulations.
Assistant City Manager Jeffry Allred told the council that police could do the job without additional personnel and that parking fines would generate revenue for the city, estimated at $125 per week.
Allred said police will issue citations on what are often referred to as C Street south of 3rd Street and 2nd Street west of D Street.
