At the Modesto girls’ basketball tournament:
Marina Wins Title--Marina defeated Ceres, 66-13 in the final game of the round-robin tournament. Marina’s Jessica Trippet earned tournament most valuable player honors. Aimee Periolat and Traci Nakamura, who scored 19 points against Ceres, also made the all-tournament team for Marina (4-0).
In the Buckley girls’ basketball tournament final:
Liberty Christian 52, Montclair Prep 28--Jen Caruso scored 18 points and earned tournament most valuable player honors for Liberty Christian (3-0).
In the Aquinas boys’ soccer tournament final:
Magnolia 3, Orange Lutheran 1--Jorge Luavino scored two goals for Magnolia (4-0).
