Bicycle Lanes

If Los Angeles would like to promote bicycling to work, here is one effective and very inexpensive way to make it safer for cyclists: Adopt the policy of re-striping all streets that will accommodate a bicycle lane to add one as the streets are routinely resurfaced and re-striped. In a few years the city would acquire a network of bicycle lanes at virtually no cost.
