COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOOTBALL ALL-MISSION CONFERENCE : Psaros, Swearingen Honored by Coaches

Defensive tackle Damon Psaros of Saddleback, running back Henry Preston of Riverside and Saddleback Coach Ken Swearingen were honored Friday by the Mission Conference Central Division football coaches.
Psaros, who had 88 tackles including 12 1/2 sacks, was the defensive player of the year. Psaros is from Capistrano Valley High School.
Preston, who ran for a division-best 1,009 yards, was the offensive player of year.
Swearingen was the coach of the year as Saddleback won the division with a 5-0 record. Saddleback, was 10-1 overall, including a victory over Cerritos in the Simple Green Orange County Bowl.

DEFENSE--DL: Damon Psaros (Saddleback), Kelly Jackson (OCC), Joe Hay (Golden West), Mike Fredrickson (Saddleback). LB: Penn Bushong (Saddleback), Sedric Shorter (OCC), Todd Norman (Saddleback), Beau Smith (Riverside). DB: Kevin Mullins (Golden West), Randy Roskelly (Fullerton), Mike Miller (Saddleback), Rick Sparks (Saddleback). Return: Antoine Bolden (OCC).
