Vice President Al Gore will appear at 7 tonight at a town meeting at Chaffey High School in Ontario, after President Clinton concludes his town hall meeting in Detroit.
Gore plans to talk about the economy and the Clinton Administration’s plans for reducing unemployment, cutting the federal budget deficit and increasing investment in the nation’s future, according to an aide.
Tickets are being distributed by the school, which is choosing the participants by lottery. “Obviously, everybody who wants to attend will not be admitted,” a Gore aide said. No plans have been made to broadcast the event, which is scheduled to last an hour.
