King Trial Sequel

How will we ever heal the racial and social wounds in this city when people are afraid to “make waves”? The saddest statement made by Rodney King (March 11) was that his mother advised him not to make an issue of race.
How can we help each other face the realities, the cruel injustice of prejudice that exist in our midst if we don’t openly make an issue of them?
People (police or others) who hurl racial epithets are demonstrating their inability to deal with their anger in any other creative way. We’re all losers then. Rodney, tell it like it is!
