Three men armed with a shotgun and handguns robbed a bank in Rolling Hills Estates on Thursday, escaping with $100,000 from the vaults, authorities said.
The robbers entered the Great Western Bank branch at 27525 Crossfield Drive at about 10:30 a.m., herded customers and employees into a corner, and ordered the manager to open the bank’s two vaults, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Ernie Roop said.
The robbers, dressed in hooded shirts and gloves, fled with a sack of money in a white Toyota heading south on Crossfield. No description of the suspects was available, Roop said.
No injuries were reported. It was not known how many customers and employees were in the bank at the time.
