1 Million Suits Exported to Japan: North Korea, desperately seeking foreign exchange to combat a disastrous shortage of oil and raw materials, exported 1 million cheap, ready-made suits to Japan last year, a Japanese weekly magazine reported. Shukan Asahi said the sales netted Pyongyang about $67 million in 1992, about 1,500 times the value of its suit exports in 1986.
