Anheuser-Busch Plans Major Restructuring: The maker of Budweiser beer said it will trim its salaried work force by 10% and reorganize its breweries and bakeries to reduce costs by $400 million a year by 1997. It blamed pending excise taxes and a flat beer market. The changes should result in a charge against third-quarter pretax earnings of about $565 million, or about $1.26 a share, the company said.
