Views on Prop. 174 Are Not Board’s

In a letter to The Times (Sept. 26), Chris Loumakis detailed his support of Proposition 174, the school voucher initiative. While Mr. Loumakis is a member of the North Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees, it is important to clarify that his views do not represent those of the full board. In fact, on Aug. 26, the board adopted a resolution opposing the initiative because of the significantly negative impact that its passage would have on all of public education, including community colleges.
Mr. Loumakis’ views are his own, and should not be construed in any way as representing the viewpoints of this Board of Trustees.
