Bell-Jeff 21, Cathedral 21--Richard Szeptcki kicked a 36-yard field goal with 10 seconds to play to pull Bell-Jeff (0-6-1, 0-1-1) even in a Santa Fe League game at Memorial Field in Burbank.
Bell-Jeff Coach Doug Woodlief invoked a little-used rule that allowed his team to take a free kick after Danny Hughes made a fair catch of a Cathedral punt at the Phantoms’ 26-yard line.
James Jackson rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns.
