Housing Seminar: In recognition of the fact that buyers have made high-density detached developments the hottest housing wherever they are being sold, the Urban Land Institute has invited four Southern California proponents of the product to address its fall meeting in Boston next month.
Three of the speakers at the ULI seminar--descriptively called “High Density Detached--The Hottest Trend in Housing”--are from Orange County: California Pacific Homes President Jeffrey Slavin; Danelian Associates President Arthur Danelian; and Walt Richardson, whose Newport Beach firm Richard, Nagy, Martin Architects designed the California Pacific projects.
Nobody from RGC or McLarand, Vasquez will be speaking. Being first with a plan apparently doesn’t count when the competition can talk about a real product that’s on the ground and selling well.
