Delahunt was at his best over the weekend for Golden West, the state’s top-ranked team. Delahunt, a sophomore from Costa Mesa High School, had 15 goals in three Southern California playoff games. He scored six goals as Golden West beat second-ranked Long Beach, 12-10, in the quarterfinals. He came back with four in the 15-5 victory over Orange Coast in one semifinal. He added five more goals in the 17-12 victory over Grossmont in the title game. Delahunt leads Golden West with 112 goals this season.
Other notables:
* Matt Kenney of Cypress averaged 14 points, including making nine of 19 three-pointers, in three games in the Barstow tournament.
* Bobby Natoya scored a career-high 63 points in two games as Fullerton won the Mt. San Antonio basketball tournament.
* Kevin Pola rushed for 103 yards and scored a touchdown in his first start at running back as Rancho Santiago beat Fullerton, 41-35, Saturday.
