Paul K. Cartier III of Arcadia, Chan S. Oh and Jeffrey R. Moritz of Diamond Bar were recently honored at the inventors awards ceremony sponsored by Beckman Instruments Inc. for patent development.
Cartier developed a patent for a protein sequencer that is used in the biotechnology laboratory; Oh developed patents for clinical chemistry and protein analyses and DNA synthesis; Moritz’s patent is used with an instrument that maps and separates DNA fragments.
Fullerton-based Beckman Instruments Inc. develops, manufactures and markets automated systems and supplies used for biological analysis in laboratories for research, quality control and clinical diagnostics.
