Redondo High Surfers Finish With 6-0 Record

Redondo High surfers won five of seven heats Thursday to defeat Mira Costa, 58-47, at Hermosa Pier and finish the first season of the South Bay Surf League with a 6-0 record.
Heat winners for Redondo were Sean Walker, Travis Ronkinen, Eli Ustick, Lance Ku and Reilyn Rodriguez. Heat winners for Mira Costa (3-2) were John Pickle and John Woodward.
The league also includes South Torrance (2-4) and Peninsula (0-5).
Competition culminates Dec. 1 with an all-star contest at a site to be determined.
