* * 1/2 Heart, “Desire Walks On,” Capitol. For the past few years, the stalwart Seattle group has had to vie for attention not just with rival bands but with the entire Seattle scene . Heart niftily embraces the latter on this album, teaming with Alice in Chains’ Layne Staley on a version of Bob Dylan’s “Ring Them Bells.” The rest of the album is the usual mix of sturdy, guitar-frenzy stuff and somewhat goofy ballads.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor) to four stars (excellent).
