Huntington Beach 61, Edison 58--Jenna Schnaker scored 17 points and Monica Geraci added 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead Huntington Beach (5-5, 1-0). Marie Philman scored 17 for No. 8 Edison (9-3, 0-1).
Rosary 54, Santa Ana 41--Kathleen Celio scored 17 points and had 16 rebounds for Rosary (7-1, 1-0). Nancy Love had 16 points for Santa Ana (8-5, 0-1).
Fountain Valley 63, Westminster 34--Jennifer Ludwicki scored a game-high 26 points to lead No. 5 Fountain Valley (9-3, 1-0).
In the Olympic League:
Calvary Chapel 43, Orange Lutheran 41--Meredith Amundson and Blythe Linsey scored 11 points each for host Calvary (8-5). Lori Wright scored 17 points for Orange (6-6), including 13 in the first half.
Whittier Christian 58, Brethren Christian 26--Kim Menke scored 16 and Alana Kempton had 13 for host Whittier Christian (6-4, 1-0).
In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 70, Santa Margarita 30--Jamie Oenning had 15 of her 16 points in the first half for second-ranked Woodbridge (12-0, 1-0). Tami Weaver and Angela Burgess each added 12 points. Santa Margarita (2-7, 0-1) got eight points each from Ashling Moss and Kelly Mohr.
Tustin 62, Saddleback 33--Katie Scheuerman had a game-high 18 points and 12 rebounds, Sarah Davis added 12 points, six assists and six steals and Alison Carr had 12 points for Tustin (9-4, 1-0). Nicole Wiora had nine points for Saddleback (4-5, 0-1).
University 67, Corona del Mar 46--Jennifer Stanley scored 20 points and Pamela Loud scored 11 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for University (7-2, 1-0). Lindsay Warmington, who had 15 points, made three three-pointers for Corona del Mar.
Newport Harbor 62, Irvine 42--Dianne Pulido had 13 points and nine rebounds and Tina Bowman added 12 points and 11 rebounds for 10th-ranked Newport Harbor (8-4, 1-0). Jessica Bullock had 14 points for Irvine.
In nonleague games:
Cypress 72, Buena Park 32--Susan Flaming had 12 points and 18 assists, a single-game school record, for third-ranked Cypress (14-2). Jessica Eggleston scored 14 points, all in the first quarter. Eggleston suffered a cut near her eye and left the game. She could have returned but didn’t because of the one-sided score. Julie Adams scored 33 points for Cypress.
Savanna 45, Sonora 39--Amy Klingelsmith scored 15 points for visiting Savanna (3-8). Aiyanna Nash had 28 for Sonora (1-12).
Century 46, Aliso Niguel 43--Laura Zepeda scored 19 points and had 15 rebounds and Nina Alexander added 17 for Century (9-4).
Troy 59, Santa Fe Springs Santa Fe 28--Jennie Gadd of Troy led both teams with 18 points.
