Executive Survey: The UC Irvine Graduate School of Management will report the results of its ninth annual Orange County Executive Survey at a presentation Feb. 15.
Every year, the school interviews 200 randomly selected companies to analyze their success rate and optimism. The companies answer questions regarding such matters as past and anticipated performance, plans for hiring and satisfaction with Orange County.
Last year, the biggest surprise was the number of companies considering relocation. About 20% of the respondents said they were thinking about leaving Orange County, double the previous year’s number.
Dennis Aigner, dean of the School of Management, declined to reveal any surprises the survey may have this year.
The breakfast meeting will be held from 7:30 to 10 at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center, next to the UCI campus. Speakers will include developer Kathryn Thompson and Furon Chairman Michael Hagan. Cost is $40. For reservations, call (714) 856-5781.
