BURBANK — Craig Sherwood, junior varsity baseball coach the past six seasons at Crespi High, was named varsity coach at Bell-Jeff on Tuesday.
Sherwood, 35, was Bell-Jeff’s junior varsity baseball coach and a varsity assistant in 1980-81. He has also coached the junior varsity at Burroughs.
“The biggest thing I like about Craig is he’s been around and been involved in baseball a long time,” Bell-Jeff Athletic Director Jim Couch said. “We had him as our assistant before and he did an excellent job then.”
Steve Wahl, who has coached at Bell-Jeff in various roles for the past eight years, recently resigned his position with the baseball team.
