NHL ROUNDUP : New Flyer Lamb Fits Right In

Mark Lamb, traded to Philadelphia by Ottawa on Saturday, filled in for ailing Eric Lindros and scored a third-period goal that helped the Flyers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-1, at St. Petersburg, Fla., on Sunday.
Lindros suffered back spasms after being struck by a puck during pregame warm-ups and the Flyers managed little offense until goals from Lamb and Mark Recchi broke the game open.
Doctors said Lindros’ status is day to day. Lindros had a knee injury earlier in the season.
Calgary 4, Washington 4--The Flames, trailing by 3-0 after the first period, were in danger of losing for the fourth time in a row Sunday at Landover, Md. But the Flames came back to tie on Trent Yawney’s goal at 11:04 of the third period. It came about six minutes after Sylvain Cote put the Capitals ahead, 4-3.
Buffalo 3, Detroit 2--Goaltender Dominik Hasek, who left the game briefly in the first period to have a broken skate fixed, made 43 saves as the Sabres won at Detroit.
Pittsburgh 5, Winnipeg 3--Doug Brown and Ron Francis each scored two goals as the Penguins won at Winnipeg, the Jets’ first loss in four games.
Dallas 2, Montreal 2--Dave Gagner’s third-period goal capped a rally from a 2-0 deficit for the Stars at Dallas.
