Rexhall Industries Inc., a Saugus maker of recreational vehicles, reported profits for its fourth quarter and year that ended Dec. 31, after year-earlier losses.
In the fourth quarter, Rexhall earned $488,000, in contrast with a loss of $1.02 million a year before. Its revenue more than tripled, to $9.25 million from $2.81 million.
In all of 1993, the company had net income of $1.23 million, in contrast with a 1992 loss of $1.46 million. Annual revenue was $30.2 million, more than twice the $12.4 million in revenue in the previous year.
Rexhall said the turnaround resulted from an increase in the number of dealers outside California carrying its RVs, and from strong sales of two wide-bodied models it introduced a year ago.
