PASADENA : Volunteers Needed for Arroyo Seco Cleaning
- Share via
Although it is 30 miles from the nearest beach, volunteers are being sought to help clean up the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena on Saturday as part of a statewide Coastal Cleanup Day.
The cleanup will concentrate on an area between the Holly Street Bridge and the Colorado Boulevard Bridge.
“People need to know the junk they dump in the streets and gutters of Pasadena ends up in the arroyo and flows all the way to Long Beach,” said Howard Richley of Arroyo Seco Council, which works to promote and protect the arroyo.
Those interested in volunteering should gather at the south end of Brookside Park parking lot at 9 a.m. The cleanup will last until noon.
