Golden Eagle Upgraded: A.M. Best Co. said it raised its rating of San Diego-based Golden Eagle Insurance Co. to B- (“adequate”) from C++ (“fair”) to reflect “stabilized growth, an improving loss reserve position and strengthened capitalization.” Best, an Oldham, N.J.-based insurance rating company, said Golden Eagle’s recent reinsurance agreement with Cologne Reinsurance Co. of Dublin, Ireland, will reduce the strain on Golden Eagle’s capital base.
