Metrolink to Cut Fares in December

Hoping to boost Metrolink ridership in the traditionally sluggish holiday season, the Ventura County Transportation Commission has agreed to cut fares and offer weekend service in December.
During the month, Metrolink will offer a 25% discount on monthly passes, which range from $80 to $208.
The commuter trains stop in Oxnard, Camarillo, Moorpark and Simi Valley before heading to the Sam Fernando Valley and Los Angeles.
A special weekend holiday train will also be provided, either Dec. 10 or 17. The train will run from Oxnard to Los Angeles in the morning, with stops at each of the 10 Metrolink stations along the way.
The train will return to Ventura County in late afternoon.
