Joe Secoda
Valencia, Senior
Football/Quarterback
Secoda is much more than just Valencia’s quarterback--he kicks, he punts, he calls defensive signals from his position in the secondary. “He does just about everything for us,” Valencia Coach Mike Marrujo said. That was clear Friday in a 24-7 victory over Western that kept the Tigers in the running for the Orange League title. Secoda scored on a three-yard run, threw an eight-yard scoring pass, kicked a 34-yard field goal and three extra points. He also intercepted two passes--and almost picked off a third--giving him a county-leading nine this season.
