BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Corona del Mar, Coleman Edge Troy

Troy’s James Hampson missed a three-point shot with 10 seconds left to play and Corona del Mar edged the Warriors, 48-46, in pool play of the Daily Pilot Tip-Off Classic on Thursday at Corona del Mar High.
Brian Coleman, who finished with 18 points, gave the Sea Kings (2-0) the lead at the one-minute mark with a basket.
Jeff Sand finished with 11 points for Troy (0-2).
In other tournament games:
Estancia 71, Glendale Verdugo Hills 35--Kevin Byrne scored 17 points and Zack Richardson scored 12 for Estancia (3-0).
Los Alamitos 68, Westminster 58--Los Alamitos went on a 14-4 fourth-quarter run to defeat Westminster (0-2) at Newport Harbor. Jermey Vandervoet led the Griffins (2-0) with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
In the Beaumont tournament:
Valencia 48, Hemet West Valley 47--Valencia held off a 13-point comeback to win in consolation action. Robert Smith had 10 points for Valencia (1-1).
In the second round of the Brea-Olinda Tournament:
Brea-Olinda 63, Whittier Christian 55--Sean Wink scored 13 points for Brea-Olinda (2-0).
El Dorado 56, Esperanza 44--Dustin Miller scored 19 points and Robbie Sammons 16 for El Dorado.
Katella 60, Canyon 44--LaByron Clayton scored 19 points and Carlos Romero added 14 for Katella.
Whittier La Serna 62, Fullerton 60--Seth Latour scored 15 points and Cory Schoonover added 13 for Fullerton.
In the Buena Park Tournament:
Downey 62, Rancho Alamitos 52--Randy Parish had 13 points and Juan Toscanini added 10 for Rancho Alamitos (1-1).
Calvary Chapel 81, Santa Ana 67--Isaac Leasau scored 23 points and Kevin Falconer added 18 for Calvary Chapel (2-0). Santa Ana is 0-2.
In the Lancer Pride tournament:
Orange 41, Bolsa Grande 38--Andy Lauridsen made a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer for Orange (2-0). Warren Guerra had 11 points for Bolsa Grande (0-1).
In second round of the National Sports Grill tournament:
Western 57, Loara 41--Brett Vernon scored 24 points to lead Western (1-1). Obaid Popal scored 17 for Loara (0-2).
Woodbridge 66, Laguna Beach 40--Chris Burgess scored 15 points to lead Woodbridge (2-0).
In the Orange Lutheran boys’ basketball tournament:
Magnolia 92, San Bernardino Aquinas 55--Josh Reding scored 22 points for Magnolia.
Saddleback 38, Los Angeles Cathedral 33--Mike Ochoa led Saddleback (1-0) with 18 points.
In the first round of the San Luis Obispo boys’ basketball tournament:
Santa Margarita 85, Santa Maria Righetti 35--Dennis Keane scored 16 points and Nick Maroutsos and Allen Krist added 12 each for Santa Margarita (0-1). Righetti is 1-1.
