NORWALK : Interim Administrator Named Superintendent
- Share via
A veteran administrator in the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District has been promoted to superintendent.
Ginger Shattuck, who was been with the district 31 years, succeeds Robert Aguilar, who retired in August after four years as superintendent. Shattuck has been acting superintendent since Aguilar departed. She is the first woman to head the 20,000-student district.
School board President Darryl R. Adams said the board had considered going outside the district for a new administrator, but selected Shattuck because she had done an exceptional job in the interim.
The board gave Shattuck a three-year contract, Adams said. She will be paid $105,000 this year.
