DANA POINT — Ronald Buchheim, a teacher and coach at Dana Hills High School for 23 years, will be honored by a memorial service Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Dana Hills gym.
According to Dana Hills track Coach Tim Butler, Buchheim died Thursday of a coronary occlusion. He was 48.
Buchheim was the head of the school’s history department and the girls’ cross-country and track and field coach.
He is survived by wife, Paula, and 17-year-old twins, Tim and Lauri.
The family has asked that those interested bring either live plants that will be planted on the campus after the service or make donations to the Ronald Buchheim memorial fund.
