America West and Pilots Reach Agreement: The Phoenix-based airline announced a tentative agreement on a five-year contract with the Air Line Pilots Assn. The agreement must still be approved the carrier’s 1,027 pilots and the airline’s board. Details of the contract were not released. About 75% of America West’s pilots voted to unionize in 1993.
