Company Town : James Warner Named President of CBS TV

CBS Inc. has named James A. Warner president of CBS Television Network, succeeding Peter Lund, who was recently named president of CBS/Broadcast Group.
Warner had been president of CBS Enterprises. Before joining the network in 1989, he was an executive at Home Box Office and HBO Enterprises. He moves into a position that was vacated when Lund was named to succeed Howard Stringer, who left CBS for a new video venture backed by three regional phone companies.
CBS also named Joseph D. Abruzzese president of sales at CBS Television Network.
* Alan Berger, head of International Creative Management’s television department, was promoted to executive vice president. Nancy Josephson was promoted to head of worldwide television.
* Bob Berry has been promoted to the newly created position of executive vice president of operations at Genesis Entertainment, a New World Entertainment company.
* Dick Clark Productions Inc. announced the appointment of Logan Whitchurch to director of publicity.
* Katie O’Connell was named senior vice president of business and legal affairs at the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group.
