About 45 Los Angeles firefighters early Thursday battled a fire that started in a storage container and spread to an adjacent building on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to the arson-caused blaze at Guitar-Guitar, a single-story commercial building in the 14200 block of Ventura Boulevard at 12:20 a.m., said Jim Wells, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
The fire was extinguished in less than 40 minutes, Wells said. No one was injured, he added.
Damage from water and the fire was estimated at $20,000 to the structure and $100,000 to the contents of the music store, Wells said.
Fire damage was contained to the structure and mezzanine level of the store.
Wells said arson investigators determined that the fire was intentionally set.
