LA PALMA : City Joins Legal Effort to Monitor County

The City Council has approved joining with other Orange County cities in hiring an attorney to monitor the county’s bankruptcy investment settlement.
The council voted unanimously Tuesday to pay about $300 to $400 a month as the city’s share for the legal representation.
Interim City Manager Len Wood told the council that the city’s money for the attorney fees may come as part of the overall county settlement. But even if the city has to tap its general fund for the fees, Wood said, he recommends La Palma’s participating in the joint legal representation.
