BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana State is showing interest in Cal State Fullerton associate head baseball Coach George Horton as a possible candidate for a similar position with LSU, Horton confirmed Sunday.
He said he was going to have a dinner meeting Sunday night with LSU Coach Skip Bertman to discuss it.
“He’s going to be coaching the Olympic baseball team in 1996 and he’s looking for someone to take a prominent role there during that time, and possibly be the person to replace him when he eventually retires,” Horton said. “It’s something I feel I should listen to.”
