Nine Orange County baseball players were among the 20 Southern California seniors selected for the south squad in this weekend’s North-South California State All-Star Series. The games will be played Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Clovis West High.
Named to the team were: Craig Jones of La Quinta, Justin Dunning of University, Jason Stockstill of Katella, Scott Maynard of Dana Hills, Trent Cuevas of El Dorado, Brian Flanagan of Cypress, David Matranga of Orange, Charlie Marino of Kennedy and Paul Day of Capistrano Valley. Craig Kuzmic of La Quinta is the No. 1 alternate.
Bob Zamora (Capistrano Valley) and Mike Curran (Esperanza) are on the South coaching staff.
