South Falls Again in All-Star Baseball

The North scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat the South, 12-11, in the California high school all-star baseball game Sunday at Fresno Clovis West High School.
The victory completed a three-game sweep for the North. The South had rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth to take a 10-9 lead. The final run scored on a single by Brian Flanagan of Cypress High.
Paul Day of Capistrano Valley had two hits and scored three runs and Craig Kuzmic of La Quinta added a single and was selected the South’s most outstanding player for the series.
