Carrier Seeks Routes to 2 Mexican Cities: Phoenix-based America West Airlines Inc. asked the U.S. government for permission to fly to two cities in western Mexico from its Phoenix hub. If the request is approved, the carrier plans to begin daily service to Puerto Vallarta and four flights a week to Manzanillo on Oct. 29. Schedules and fares for the new routes will be posted on Aug. 4, the airline said.
